Lehigh Valley to Philadelphia

I realize this is television related and will probably be deleted, but I'll try anyway. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Liz Keptner, who was weekend then early morning anchor at WFMZ a few years back, has been hired by KYW-TV in Philadelphia as a full time Lehigh Valley reporter, I think a first for them, and maybe a first for a WFMZ reporter moving up to Philadelphia, although Jason Lee briefly did weekend weather at 69 and also worked I think at WBEB radio and maybe also in tv in Philadelphia, but all about the same time period. Liz keptner was sometimes a little too "silly" in the happy talk anchoring but by the time she left 69 she has improved her delivery and style.

The last big LV-Philadelphia radio move I remember was the evening jock at WCTO going to WXTU. Going way back, I remember a female jock (rare in those days) going from WSAN to WMMR in the '70's progressive rock era - was it Lyn Kratz? I forget now - anyone remember?

Dawn Timmeny of WCAU started out at 'FMZ-TV.

Yes, Jason Lee did weekends at 'FMZ a few years back, and I think he actually worked with Liz Keptner. I think he also did weather at either Fox or WB17 in Philly too, and did traffic reporting on channel 6 until just recently when channel 6 dumped Smart Traveler. Not sure if he is still doing radio in Philly.

About Liz Keptner, I always liked her work. This is definitely well-deserved.

When I was in Sacramento last year on business I ran into Liz at Sacramento International Airport, she was working out there and I believe that she is still married to Scott Babachak who worked at WFMZ with her.
