[FONT=&quot]Leonard “Len” Mailloux, a lifelong radio professional and a pioneer for student radio, was fondly remembered by students, colleagues and family for his love of radio and teaching. He died yesterday at the age of 64.

[FONT=&quot]Mr. Mailloux, of Providence, R.I., made a splash in the world of radio with an impressive career, including working as the news director for Fairbanks Broadcasting for KVIL Radio Dallas and for WVBF radio in Boston for 30 years, as well as covering daily news on WROR’s “Loren and Wally” show.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]He then became a college professor.[/FONT]
