COX MEDIA Country WWKA (K92-FM)/ ORLANDO, FL PD LEN SHACKELFORD is no longer at the station. DREW ANDERSSEN, PD of sister station, News/Talk WDBO is currently handling the programming duties at WWKA.

There is no word on SHACKELFORD’s permanent replacement yet.
 
No, no, no. For a replacement think of somebody who has a "degree" in broadcasting and has little to no commercial experience in a competitive market but they have four years experience "playing radio" in college radio. So if you're considering applying for the job, even if you have 10-20 years experience in competitive radio in major markets, unless you have that "degree" in broadcasting or better yet, "journalism" you are NOT qualified because you know jack-sh-- about the business.
 
Hmmm... I guess I'm not qualified, so I'm going to jack sh-- at the sidelines on this one. :p
 
How many people has this man fired??? 6 morning shows, countless staffers, never thinking it could happen to him. The word from the hallways, is that is was "preformanced based " on K 92. Well you cant fire, Ron Bisson, Bo and Melissa, Ellis, Doc and Skid, dump grace in middays, and hire the 2 they have now and survive. Not to mention he whacked Shadow, Steve Holbrook, tons of other station staffers ( he was OM ) His answer was to fire, not solve issues. So it came back on him, because after all his changes, the station sucks. Nobody wants to see anyone lose a job, becasuse he is done for good. But you only get so many chances to clean out an entire building, and blame it on someone else. I didn't cover 20 percent of the people he fired. The entire staff of 96 rock, 6 months after he hired them, the promo department twice, DBO FM is failing cause he was in charge. It's time for the backstabbers in radio to go.
