Leno and WNBC 11pm news

As we countdown until Jay Leno reemerges tonight, I recently got an exclusive with a WNBC exec about what the new lead-in will mean to their 11 p.m. newscast.

In a nutshell, WNBC says the audience for their late news and Leno are "extremely compatible."

I think the "lead-in" theory may be a bit overrated. I have no problem changing the channel to WABC to get my news.
