Leno, Letterman in Suber Bowl spot...together!

It was pretty good, with Letterman doing his mock Leno voice in the promo. I couldn't tell if all three were really together, or if it was technically put together.

According to Mark Burnett, Dave's Executive Producer, the three were all indeed together. The spot was secretly filmed at the Ed Sullivan Theater last Tuesday.

They probably didn't.

What would NBC do? Fire him?....Again?

I've never truly believed all the so called intense animosity between the two. They cut their comic teeth together in the 70s out west. Rivalry? Sure. A little bitterness...probably. Hatred?

Nope.

A fun spot. Almost spilled the dip seeing it. Thanks to all for being good sports on Super Bowl Sunday.

I find this spot and all of the reports of how it came together and how it was Dave's idea very interesting to say the least.

I guess there is no off position to the genius switch!

Regarding last night's Super Bowl ad with Dave, Oprah, and Jay:
it was exactly three months shy of 18 years since Dave and Jay
were last seen together on camera -- since Jay's last LATE NIGHT
guest appearance on May 7, 1992.

I see I'm not the only one who receives the "Late Show with david Letterman" newsletter! Interesting fact; hard to believe it's been that long
