Leo Laporte's caller calls out the iHeart App

This weekend a caller to Leo Laporte's show correctly complained about a problem I've brought up here several times - there's no way to exit the app! It stays active in the background and sometimes suddenly starts playing, say, in a meeting, a restaurant or a movie theater.

I call this draconian. Laporte called it a "bug," adding, "Yeah, the app needs some work," and said he would try to address it with the developers.

It's about time!

Nope. Still running in the background and will occasionally start without warning. The only way to completely stop it is to go to App Info and press Force Stop.

Sounds like a phone problem to me. I had a similar problem with the GPS until I did a reboot.

Nope, Laporte confirmed the issue.

And remember, he's not just the tech guy, he's THE tech guy.

The call occurred about 10 minutes before the end of last weekend's show. There should be a podcast if you want to check it out.
