KABC airs Dodger baseball games at times. Sometimes his show is cut in half to allow the games to air, he even says that.
Today the Dodgers were on the East coast so the game would have started at 11 there and 8 here. But it was temporarily rained out so they filled in the time with infomercials until the game could begin.

Now that is interesting. I checked the site also and next Sunday has another game scheduled at 10 am with no mention of him being on at 8 to 10 like in the past.
I don't know then.
The Sunday 9/27/09 L.A. Dodgers-Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game at Pittsburgh, PA's PNC Park was scheduled to begin at 10:35am Pacific Time (1:35pm Eastern Time) with the pregame show on KABC starting at 10am Pacific Time. (Not at 8am Pacific Time/11am Eastern Time.)

But the start of the game was delayed 6 minutes (to 10:41am Pacific Time/1:41pm Eastern Time) by rain.

Next Sunday's 10/4/09 Colorado Rockies-L.A. Dodgers baseball game at Dodger Stadium in L.A. is scheduled to begin at 1:10pm Pacific Time with the pregame show on KABC starting at 12:30pm Pacific Time. (See link to Dodgers 2009 baseball schedule above.)
With the Dodgers appearing in baseball's postseason, their National League Division Series (1st round) games will be broadcast on KABC Radio/TBS Cable TV on the following dates (times to be determined): Wed. Oct. 7th, Thu. Oct. 8th, Sat. Oct. 10th, Sun. Oct. 11th (if necessary), Tue. Oct. 13th (if necessary).
Note: program schedule posted on
www.KABC.com as of 11:30pm Pacific Time on Sun. 9/27/09 combines Friday-Saturday-Sunday 9/25-26-27/09 with Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday 9/28-29-30/09, leading to confusion. Check the schedule later this week when hopefully it will be updated with the upcoming weekend's program schedule.
The listing for Sunday 9/27/09 for the 3am-10am period lists "Various Specialty Programming" (infomercials/brokered time, I assume). Leon Kaplan's program is indeed not listed, and he is not listed among the hosts on the "On-Air" list, although his podcasts are still available. So he could be "gone". Another possibility is that he took the day off in preparation for Yom Kippur (although his show would have aired several hours before the religious holiday's observance began at sundown on Sunday evening 9/27/09).
