I found myself very busy over the Summer, and I'm only now catching-up with local media news. I've come across many obituaries and stories of media people who died during the Summer. One person, however, only seems to have received coverage in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. That person is Les Ross, who died in July at age 79. Les programmed WSRS during its very successful years as a beautiful music station. He also helped put WCRN on-the-air in 1994 and worked there for a decade. I found his Telegram & Gazette obituary strange because it only mentioned his work at WSRS and said he retired in 1987. There was no mention of his work and association with the Carberry family's WCRN. Les was an excellent broadcaster and a gentleman.
