Less Carl and Mike

As the flagship show for 92.9 the Game Dukes and Bell has been 2-7 but now Turtle is 6-10pm when there is not sporting events like the Hawks. So did Audacy cut their pay with one less hour.

Did they get a raise when they added the hour? I believe they are on a "contract". Usually there is a "needs of the business (station)" clause in most contacts. That being said if Audacy is still in bankruptcy they can void / cancel any contract if they can convince the Bankruptcy Judge or his trustee to do so. If Audacy voids the contract, does the non compete get voided too? This could get weird because of Georgia is a right to work State.

Should have been a lawyer.

I am sure that Dukes and Bell will not be hurting financially quitting an hour earlier.

There is a perception of "afternoon drive" that varies from market to market. Before COVID (from personal experience) Atlanta started at 3PM. I use to start at 6AM and got off at 2:45. Every minute later I left, I got home 2 or 3 minutes later. With the return of Federal Workers some agencies use to start at staggered times, to account for parking and traffic hassles. My Dad when he worked at the NRC started at 6am too. Now I guess it will take a few more months to sort out how many Government and Private sector folks work in formal offices. Some managers can't stand the fact that folks can work at home. I guess it depends on the job.

IMHO: if you are looking at a screen 8 hours a day it doesn't matter were that screen is located.
Supposedly AI is going to to most of these jobs but some companies have learned that AI sometimes goes down a "rabbit hole". As my Dad use to say: "to err is human, it requires a computer to really foul things up".

IIRC Jet Blue has never a "central" reservation office. Why pay rent when people can work at their home? Of course there are managers that still think that face to face with coworkers is more productive.

The Morning and Afternoon drive shifts are still in flux from the COVID disruption.

Agreed. Frankly, I think it's the commercial real estate interests pushing return to office.

But yeah, traffic in Atlanta is worse than before COVID, and drive time (AM and PM) has gotten longer.
