I believe Robbie Rivera ft Fast Eddie "let me sip my drink" could have had way more success if certain things were done a bit differently. It could've definitely had more mainstream success... but there's just something about the whole sound of the track that's holding it back in my opinion. I just can't place my finger on what exactly it is, but I think some things could be improved production-wise to increase its mainstream approval.
 
I think its a good mixshow track, and I may give it a shot at certain rhythmic or rhythmic ACs,, and of course mixshows, but I just dont think it has any wheels on it to go anywhere at CHR.
 
It is very odd that Agnes "release me" does sound better than "let me sip my drink" on CHR. I think even Akon's "sexy chick" sounds more appropriate, but then again, I can't tell if that's only because I'm used to it. I bet if "let me sip my drink" were played on there for a while, it would eventually become "normal". David Guetta "getting over" is already sounding normal to me on both rhythmic and top 40 so far.
 
I heard the Mastiksoul Remix of this track and maybe this is what it was KDM, (that is if this was the version you were hearing too):

I think there was just a lot of weird over-sampling of Fast Eddie at parts where it didn't need to be. I think if they just left his flow alone (if it HAD to be sampled, then use the main line "Let Me Sip My Drink" only) it would perhaps be a better track for it.
