Let the rampant speculation begin!

I'm thinking what Eric is... a Hot 102 (Lexington) format would be smart.

however, they keep mentioning "legendary" and "the storm"... could just be trying to throw us off... but it's making me also think Country, Urban AC, and Talk.

After listening to The Vibe Toledo last night...

Cee Lo Green - Forget You
OneRepublic - Good Life
Britney Spears - Till The World Ends
Black Eyed Peas - Just Can't Get Enough
Justin Timberlake - What Goes Around... Comes Around
Tinie Tempah & Eric Turner - Written In The Stars
STOPSET
Katy Perry - E.T. (no Kanye)
Jason Derulo - In My Head
Adele - Rolling In The Deep
Flo Rida & Ke$ha - Right Round
STOPSET
Rihanna - S&M
Jessie J & B.O.B. - Price Tag
Usher - More
The Script - For The First Time

Looks a lot like Q102 to me. :)

KISS is not sounding good right now and they are vulnerable as they have a weak morning show, Seacrest in Middays. Cumulus probably see CHR as an opportunity to knock them down a few points and if programmed correctly by bringing back what was a popular show in Tim and Jeff they could overtake KISS in the PPMs. Q102 tends to skew female in its Adult hit format so there is potential to take away a few points from them on that end. It could be an interesting battle shaping up.

KISS is stronger now than they were when Tim & MMCMG were down there. Their ratings are stronger in the morning right now than they have been in a long time, because they play more music, bottom line. People don't listen to FM radio to hear people talk all morning. Tim & Jeff were a reasonably popular show in Cincy, but their strength was that they were local and out in the community. They'll lose that coming in from Toledo. No town of the week, no remotes or appearances, etc. They won't be as popular when they return, because they won't be local anymore and that was where they built their audience. They might hurt KISS a little, but let's not act like anything on 94.1 is taking down anyone. Odds are, we'll all be having this same conversation in 2 years about what 94.1 will be doing tomorrow.

Found this on another Cincinnati thread:

The former Kiss 107 morning team of Tim and Jeff (nee "My Mom Calls Me George") have popped up in Toledo, a market three times smaller than Cincinnati, and they tell John Kiesewetter that working for Cumulus-owned Star 105.5 is "FAR GREATER" (those two words were written by Tim in all-caps) than working at Clear Channel.

Cumulus could syndicate their show in Cincinnati if they would flip one of its lower rated FM signals in town to CHR. I wonder if they have thought about doing that?

Wow, are they making more money working at Cumulus in Toledo? ???

Now I see where the 94.1 CHR speculation may have originating from. If they do go CHR, then it's possible the Tim and Jeff show would be syndicated from Toledo on 94.1. Another possibility is they would move the show to Cincinnati and still have it on in Toledo.

Would be very surprised if they went CW as they seem to be ridiculing that format now. ::)

Putting T&J on would help take those "Jordan in the morning" listeners revert. And if the music's good enough, why not stay throughout the day? Especially if they're commercial free. They probably won't have any programming but commercial free music on for awhile.

I'll be recording the flip. :)

Can you post a link to the audio of the launch tomorrow evening? I'll be at work and won't be able to listen.
