KMYI is definitely benefiting from KFMB going Jack. I don't remember My having numbers this good in a long time, if ever.
______________

This is the opposite of what normally happens when Jack enters a market. For example, the "Mix" Hot AC in Dallas started tanking soon after Jack hit.

US 95.7, other hits

> What happened there? Looks like they took a major hit. Nice to see 94.9 trending back up again.

But that doesn't mean Jack, for now. It's obvious that a popular station would experience some drop-off from a format change. It may not look great now, but it's gonna take some time to see if Jack works for San Diego and elsewhere.
______________

Happened to see Oldies 540 for the last time on full oldies mode in the ratings. The ranking wasn't too bad either.

It is interesting that KLSD-AM/Air America is holding its own, but a spectacular success it obviously ain't. Has anyone see them advertising themselves in town? CC promotes stations which can't be really heard in San Diego (570) but ignores stations which can be clearly heard in town....

I don't understand these folks.

Right.

I agree. But I got pounded for saying that KFMB would lose share in their first book, so now I get to chortle gleefully :)

When Jack came to SD, it differed from other markets in that Star was not a derelict station - they had numbers, and still decent ones, where in other markets (let's say LA, for instance) there was nowhere to go but up.

If Tracy was hoping for a quick spike, this was the wrong situation to try it in.
