Let Us Try This Again, WDJAndO.........

The walls again, are continuing to close on our friends at WDJO..... Word is they are way behind on rental payments for the land on which their towers stand and the property owner is threatening to pull the plug by the end of June unless the full amount is paid. And their attorney has just had his license suspended for 60 days by the Kentucky Supreme Court which also stops him from practicing in Ohio. Of course they won't be able to pay him for his services with commercials if their towers are turned off. Looks like it is all catching up to them.

Comments?

^^That's why it was removed the first time. That is WRONG and can get this board in trouble.

If wrong information was going to get this board shut down it would have been gone years ago.

It WAS factual at the time it was posted.
Then, Eric caught a break and the whole thing was stayed.

And the check has been sent for the tower site, too. NDXUFan needs to check with his highly placed "source" in Hamilton County government. (I wonder who that COULD BE?) When he gets half the info, then posts it here, he has yet ANOTHER "WDJO is over" post that proves to be false.

How do I know all this? I take the time to make calls and get to the truth. I got some laughs, too.

Don't know and don't care. Not my problem and not the point. NDXUFan is wrong again.
It's interesting that you guys get all excited about a locally owned station, but really pile on when things aren't going well for them.

Much as I hate it, Mr NDXU has been right on all his posts.

I was rooting for the Alchemy crew---but after seeing how they did not follow through with their contractual obligations-- and hearing what a mess the station programming has become I have come to understand that these people just do not have the skill-set to own and operate a small business...radio station, corner market or check cashing joint.

Sad that we will lose the last bastion for oldies in the 'nati to their incompetence

thank heaven for richbroradio.com

What contractual obligations? And who even cares? This is a few people holding a grudge against a station that is barely surviving. It will likely die soon, and then there will be no station on that frequency at all after 60+ years. And just like WPFB, nobody will notice.
And NDXUFan has only publicized issues that the station is having. He's only doing that to try and embarass them. Well, it seems to me that he should be embarrassed. He declares them dead, and they just keep on living. It's easy to post info when you have a highly placed source in County government feeding you information. What am I paying that county official to do all day?
And Marty, it seems to me you were part of that crew for a long time. They're not incompetent. That station never turned a profit, even when it was a WGRR clone on 1160. I found out a lot of very interesting things on my phone calls this week.

Well, you have to hear all sides. Usually the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Anyways, i learned a long time ago, not to involve myself in things that don't concern me. Furthermore, if someone or something is on a track to embarrass themselves (i am not saying that DJO is, this is a generalization) they'll do it all on their own without any meddling from any outside source.
It bothers me when anyone fails. It means that folks aren't getting a pay check and going without. There is enough of that going on. We don't need more of it.

In general it bothers me when people fail too. It hurts when good people go down. And their are some great people who had great ideas who tried to do things honestly and with integrity and it just didn't work. Those situations pain me. I personally don't mind the arrogant getting zapped except that it would be so nice if when the folks who are arrogant go down it wouldn't hurt the folks who work for them and are counting on their paycheck for rent and grocery money.

Mr Buster--- I suppose we just need to agree to disagree. It makes the world go round!

If this blows up, hopefully 1480am will continue to serve the public under new ownership.

I'd be great to have those WCIN calls back on the air (are they still available?)

My friend who has worked as an attorney for many years, told me to tell you, "Good Luck with that one."

First of all, I did not say at any point, that 'DJO was done and finished. I stated that they are having major issues. I just report what is happening, no more, no less. My source is better than all your sources put together.

Ok, tell me where I am wrong??? If you do not care, why in the name of God are you here??? ???

I know a fair amount about bankruptcy and legal collections. Many companies can and do survive for a long time, even when having a long list of debts. 'DJO will not be the first company to fail and nor will it will the last. In fact, there are many eating establishments on the East side that are going under and they do have a good product. Companies do benefit from seeing the mistakes of the competition and not repeating them. How can you say that a company is not incompetent, if they have never turned a profit in how many years? Every company has to make a profit at some point, otherwise, creditors will force them to file for bankruptcy, to avoid wasting limited resources. Resources are not unlimited, they are finite. The very first goal of any company or corporation is to make a profit, not providing jobs, pure and simple. In other words, you can not pay your employee Jack Smith $20 per hour, when his production level is only $10 per hour, along with Social Security, Medicare, Unemployment compensation, etc. When I say they are incompetent, I mean from a fiscal point of view.

In addition, you have no clue to who is my source and nor will you in this lifetime. I have worked for the county and if you only had any clue what kind of abuse goes on downtown, this would be the very least of your worries. Again, I am waiting to hear from you, where I am wrong?

You are really spending all of that time on this? On a previous post, you said, "Who even cares?" Apparently, you seem to care or you would not be here. Now, I am ready to laugh.

The problem for you is that I was told this fact by a number of attorneys, who I know well.
