That 106 is flipped to FM Talk with Imus in the mornings. Fill out the rest of the lineup. Best lineup wins lunch with Roddy.

Why would they do that when it's more expensive and with a 2 share in country they will be more profitable?

Maybe should be it's own thread but... discuss this! (as it relates to 106.7)

Well... first of all the smartest (read: cheapest/most cost-effective) format would be oldies, since you can research the hell out of the music and play the right hits. Plus, you don't need live/local jocks to pull it off. So, since Citadel is in the shitter, I'd go that way with Imus-in-the-Morning, and whatever voice-tracking you need to fill out the rest of the day.

BUT... How cool would it be if you went "talk" with: Imus-in-the-Morning (probably gonna happen no matter what), Chris Krok (local) 10-1pm, Jimmy Baron (local) 1pm to 3pm, Kimmer (local) 3-7pm, and do whatever you want after 7pm...

THOUGHTS???

Yeah, Chitadel tanks even worse with a half-hearted attempt at a mediocre radio station, sinks deeper into going out of business.

If they do talk it won't be local. Costs too much. They may make a run for Rush and/or Hannity. They could threaten their WABC position if they don't move.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Citadel owns the Hannity show....

Would that mean they reserve the right to pull it from WSB <IF> 106.7 goes syndicated talk?

Citadel/ABC owns Hannity. Premiere/CC owns Rush. Rush is safe on WGST.

They paid big bucks for Imus which seems even more foolish based on Friday's news. They might just go with Imus here to increase the return on that investment.
