Let's get discussing! New member :)

Hi there! I'm a 25 year old from the UK who's got a penchant for radio presenting and listening. I am hoping to eventually start my own internet radio that'll showcase independent music and my local music scene.

I'm currently writing my masters thesis on the role of public radio (using KEXP as a case study) as a parallel music discovery and community platform in the age of negative media bombardment, streaming, algorithmic playlisting and music discovery. I hope that later on during my research process I will be able (if allowed) to submit a survey here for people to participate in to built my argument.

If anyone has any resources be it books, articles, archives, or opinions, I will be 100% down for a chat!

Have a wonderful day everyone! ^_^

Hello all! I run an educational radio station called WiTalk Radio (you can find us on Radio Garden). It's based in Poland and its purpose is to help English teachers and their students around the world. We broadcast 2 short educational shows at the start of every hour and some unusual music for the rest of the hour. We broadcast 24/7 and have already attracted listeners from around the world (but nobody from Iceland or Greenland as yet!). The problem is that I'm more of a teacher than a manager/broadcaster/promoter so any hints you might be able to give me would be appreciated. Basically I'm trying to become a bit more professional!
