Let's get some good information on this Board!!! Helpful stuff.
My predictions are already in for the next book, so here are some summer tidbits:

+ Rivers is the highest paid in Seattle. 2.7 million a year for his
whole show. Confirmed deal in trades two months ago. Dollar figure in
trades was 3 million, but that must include bonuses.

+ Savage is close to a deal in Portland and Minneapolis, but would
broadcast out of Seattle at his new waterfront home. He also would get
a dandy multi-million dollar payout from Infinity. Still talking to
KISW here and the END. The END wants nothing to do with him.

+KNBQ has boosted its signal and are looking for local talent.

+Robins Court case still up in the air, but time ticks on the contract.
I predict this will all fade away with an out of court settlement.

+ Saw an add for the John Tesh show in the trades. Ratings up 167% in female
demos for KPLZ. Ties Delilah 18-34 women? Still predict Delilah wins the
night battle.

+ Did ya catch the Mariner numbers on KOMO? Wow! The team is losing, but the ratings keep rollin in.

+ MIX now moving CHR as I predicted. Mariah, Black Eyed Peas are played. Currents spin at 78 a week faster than KBKS, slower than KUBE. I predict
KUBE continues to win the CHR war. MIX will have no effect on them.

+ Still stand by my prediction of a year ago that RUSH will eventually end
up on KIRO.

+ Only one big morning show left in contract talks: Fastlane and Burns. Let the
bidding begin. KJR, MIX and KBSG talking to them. Might simulcast KJR-FM and KNBQ-FM for a million dollar deal. My money is on KJR or KBSG to sign em this Fall.

+ New GM in the building at Entercom. Look for big changes. People love this
guy in the hallways, a new feeling in the building according to friends on the
inside.

Now that was a good post! Damn interesting stuff. I
can shed some light on a couple of things. I know the
station Savage's agent was talking with in Minneapolis
and they have said no. He wanted too much. Fastlane
and Burns are not coming to MIX. Mitch has a six figure
contract. It was nice to hear KNBQ's new signal though
I don't like the syndicated morning show much. Hope they
go with local talent. Don't be so sure about the CHR war.
My guess is there is room for two in this market and my
guess is MIX and KUBE will walk away on top. KPLZ has gone
so old I bet KBKS moves to HOT/AC, which is a better fit
for their morning show anyway.

By the way JACK fans, the first JACK in Denver is considering
a format flip just 18 months after getting on the air. JACK
is being revamped in Dallas as we speak.

JACK's demise is only a matter of time. Its uptick was only because of the novelty factor. It will last about as long as K-Rock lasted with Savage.

I wish Andy Savage well, but for his sake I hope he starts his new show out better than what he did with K-Rock. I listened to his first day on K-Rock and he admitted he did nothing for six months between gigs. His show sounded like it as well. It took another six months for things to get rolling, but I get the feeling that the damage was already done. I would not hire him over NoName and Jennifer White at this point.

Overpaid and a marginal show. Has been for years.

He tries but not much there. Seattle is a great market except for AMD. Savage is a perfect example.

My buyer is just drooling over this one.

An example of why KOMO and Fisher was very shrewed in grabbing MLB.

Mix is lost. Good observation. People have been saying the same thing about KUBE for like 20 some odd years.

No. You fail to reason as to why Limbaugh ended up on KTTH to begin with. He's the franchise. It's been a year, give it up..

Perhaps the most moronic contract negotiations that could ever happen. This is radio however...
