I think Cromwell is doing the right thing. I admit, Venus sounds a little weak, but it doesn't matter what moniker 102.5 goes by, Hot AC is back in the Nashville market. Hopefully along with Bob and Shari comes either American Top 20 with Casey Kasem or Leeza Gibbons' Hollywood Confidential.

As for 102.9 The Buzz "Rocks", they'll stay afloat. In this market, we've been fine with just 1 or 2 stations playing rock currents whether it was the old KDF or The Rooster or The Buzz to go along with Lightning 100.

If Lightning flips, ALL HECK WILL BREAK LOOSE!!

That won't happen. Lightning doesn't have to play by any
rules it doesn't want to.

I agree that it'll be nice that Hot AC is back in Nashville.
I just hope they don't wimp it out. We'll know next week
whether we have an AC going against Mix or a station that
stands on it's own musically. Hope for the best.

I don't get it...

102.5's signal can best be heard in the Clarksville area. Clarksville already has a well-established Hot A/C in the form of Q-108 (it too was a CHR up till the early 90s). If Star had a problem getting decent ratings in Nashville with a far better signal, then what leads Cromwell to believe 102.5 can beat the odds?

It would've been nice to actually see a Diva type of station, one that blends current and Gold Dance, along with big Hot AC hits.

Excellent point on the Clarksville angle. Cromwell merely hopes to do beter than it did. I don't know if the problem's been Cromwell at large, or just the local group, but I wouldn't count on much.

By the way, as long as Lightning has the same ownership, they'll be what they are; no changes.
