Its weak. Very weak. I think the problem is the concept rather than the host/hostess/announcer/set or any of that other extraneous stuff.
I know right? When I heard Wayne Brady was hosting and they were bringing back a t.v. classic... I thought, hey that might be good.. nice companion piece to "Price Is Right" ... I think Wayne Brady could be a good host, but the few times I've watched a segment or two he just seems weak.
It's awful! The show was great back in the day of Monty Hall. All of them. Everything from the orginal up to the All New Let's Make A Deal from 1986. I don't even know what this piece of trash is now. First off it's to long. This isn't the kind of format that many people can sit through for an hour. Secondly they changed the format of the show. One person at the end for The Big Deal instead of two people. That was an unneccessary change done just for the sake of screwing around. trying to improve on something that was already fine. Wayne Brady was one of my favorites on Whose Line Is It Anyway. But Let's Make A Deal isn't the show for him. It's just uncomfortable to watch. They tinkered with this show to the point where it's now broke.

It's awful, I watched it once and that was it, It was much better in the 70s with Monty Hall.
As far as Wayne Brady, he was great in "Don't Forget the Lyrics" I wished FOX would have kept that show.

I've never been a big LMAD fan, but I'd rather see this than trash talk or courtroom shows or infomercials, which is what most local stations would be carrying if the time had been given back to them.

The difference is the judge shows garner ratings. Why? A different thread.

Tinkering around with the show justifies the existence of the people who did the tinkering....LOL......The people who were so smart and sophisticated they couldn't possibly consider such a simple game as LMAD as even being worthy of being shown in the 21st. Century....UNLESS you really mess around with it...LOL.
Poor Wayne Brady. I think he really IS trying his best....but it just doesn't seem to be working.
By the way....does anyone have any ratings available as to how LMAD is doing compared to "The Guiding Light" toward the end of its run?
As it stands now.....LMAD is almost bad enough to get picked up by NBC ;D

Bob Harper the trainer from "The Biggest Loser" was on Leno last night. Even he was cracking jokes with Leno about NBC.
I tried watching a few episodes of Let's Make A Deal while I off during the Christmas Holidays and had to turn it off. I like Wayne Brady as an entertainer but I just seems out of his element as the Host of LMAD. I'm not saying it's his fault, but he justs seems uncomfortable as the host.
I never think I wanted to see a gamer show canceled before. But in the best interest of the Network I think they should replace it with two better game shows. Bring Scrabble and Win, Lose or Draw back. Even Dream House was better! I could name 20 old game shows which would be more fun to watch than this version of Let's Make A Deal is. It could haver been a good move if they did it right. Instead it looks like a poor mans version of what used to a be a good show.

You have to admit this version is much better than that god-awful NBC version hosted by Billy Bush a few years ago...remember that one?

Wayne Brady is extremely talented, but he just doesn't have the slick huckster persona like good ol' Monty. During Monty's reign the production costs, Monty's paycheck and the general prize pool came out of one fund. So if people were running up great deals and it was getting close the show was going over budget you can be damn sure Monty would make sure the next contestant would be going home with a goat.
