Lets Play where Fred Toucher and Company will end up at if they stay in the Atlanta Radio Market

Well, as many of you know Fred Toucher will no longer be gracing the airwaves of 99X WNNX Atlanta. It was a great run having Toucher on the morning show.........so lets take bets as to where Toucher, Crash, and Rich will land at. I done know what Toucher's relationship with Chris Williams is who is now at Clear Channel's 105.3 The Buzz WBZY IM going to go out on a limb and say that Crash Toucher and Rich will end up doing a morning show at the Buzz in the near future its like 99X south at the Buzz with Whip and Chris Williams there so I think that would be the logical place for them to go......Let me Know what you think<P ID="signature">______________

I'll bet a lot of money that Toucher won't be at the Buzz before April, 2007.

Toucher has a contract through October, 2006 with Susquehanna. If Cumulus chooses to exercise it and Toucher wanted to wait around, he'd have a six month noncompete that would keep him from joining another rock station in town until April 2007. I doubt Toucher would want to wait around that long. I'm not sure if Crash has a noncompete clause but he's not being paid by Susquehanna anymore so I doubt it.

Fred, Chris Clark and Rich will wind up together in NJ. I don't envision Fred will be on the air here ever again. If you doubt my prediction, just remember, I said the Regular Guys would never be on the air here ever again...look how well I did on that one.
Jimmy will move to SF and be on the Free FM there.
Leslie will never give up the ghost and will stay at 99X until they lock the place up and sell the building.<P ID="signature">______________

Thank you for saying it first - HELLO, it's all but a done deal that Toucher, Rich and Crash will be hired by CBS to do a show in the Northeast - looks like Boston. Susquehanna/Cumulus let him explore because they didn't want him - his contract will be ripped up! Pay Attention!

well actually you bring up a good point could a frequency switch between 99x and Q would make so much sense right now. Q's revenue could do better on 100K Watts.

silly. Wouldn't it be a little stupid (not to say confusing) to call a station "Q100", when it's on 99.7?

seriously, then it would be "99Q".

Then what would their positioning be .... "Now with a NEW bigger, more powerful, clearer signal ... that's even more bigger, more powerful, and clearer then the one that we just recently promoted as a bigger, more powerful, clearer signal. You voted, and we listened, 100.5 just wasn't bigger, powerful, and clear enough. 99.7 is. Got it?"

As long as they're going to try to salvage 99X, they're not moving Q100 to 99.7. "100.5: The X" isn't going to happen. The only, ONLY way that Q100 might move to 99.7 is down the road if Cumulus blows up 99X. Then Q could simucast on 100.5 & 99.7 for a while. But this seems very far fetched and unlikely. I'm not trying to pass that off as a serious idea.
