LETS RANK THE TOP FRESNO TALK SHOWS

There enough Fresno-based shows to conduct a poll.
So who is tops and who is bottoms?
Rank them 1-4.
Include the sports hosts too, if you feel it necessary.
If any of them were to get a shot at a large market, who would it be?
It's as scientific as we can get for now.

Are you talking about only TALK shows on TALK stations or do include FM morning shows? If its TALK stations only, there only 4 not counting sports stations. Chris Daniel, Ray Appleton, Inga, and Alan Autry that are LOCAL. Sports there Paul Swearenson and Bill Woodward for interviewing Bulldog Coaches.

...and Kenrayc, Inga is not local. She's BAKO and that's not Fresno. She's so out of clue with Fresno at times, its laughable.

Add Jim Franklin to the KMJ line-up...that's local.

By the way, Inga is a Fresno host at night and Bakersfield during the day. If she's paid by a Fresno station for her work, then she's a Frenso host too. Let's be somewhat logical here.

My ranking:
1. Daniel
2. Appleton
3. Inga
4. Autry, although I have not heard him in months. Has he improved?

Bottoms is Carr by far.

I've listened the some of the talk on KMJ while driving through the valley. I really have to commend them for literally owning talk radio in Fresno and doing a decent job with news coverage. Their billing and ratings show it.

Since I'm not a fan of conservative talk, I really couldn't fairly rate them without sounding bitter. Here I go anyway:

I prefer Ray Appleton as a news anchor.

Inga sounds intelligent and makes some interesting points. Still, I generally don't agree with her most of the time.

I've never heard Autry, but have read some of his quotes in the news.

Jazz McKay formerly of KMJ now...Bakersfield??...just scares me.
 
Inga, would have the best chance to go nationally with her connection to Sean Hannity; She has probably made more national TV appearances (Fox News Channel) than anyone in th market. Plus Hannity has given her more shoutouts than just about any other talk show host. Regarding her lack of Fresno geography; I know a few people who would get lost in their own homes without a GPS!

Ray Appleton, is well informed and I will put with a little static to hear his show down here in the Antelope Valley. I use to watch his TV show on CH47 down here too. If given a choice;I prefer local talent anyday, to the grossly over paid national talent anyway; Like Rush or Sean, could ever relate to us regular folks.

Oh come on! Jazz is nothing more than a armed pussycat with a beer or two;he's harmless!
Doing very well in Bakersfield on KNZR 1560.

Both Ray & Inga are better than what L.A. has to offer!

I LIKE CHRIS DANIEL THE BEST. BUT I WISH HE WOULD KEEP HIS TOPICS MORE LOCAL. INGA ANNOYS ME. APPLETON IS OK, BUT HE NEVER SEEMS TO HAVE MUCH PASSION. AUTRY IS A NON-FACTOR.
