This mornin' while travelin' to the yob, I can partake of Scott Allen Miller pleading for callers, when he has no time for a more than three second comment from any gavone who wastes the time to call in, OR I can tune in to a radio-has been spending his sad last days on "terrestrial radio" weighing bowel movements. How Sad. And no, I didn't forget 'bout Don ****, that cadaver is not even worth mentioning. Back to my tape of last night's George Noory's AntiChrist Line! SeeYa!

Sadly, all is true. Attempted to listen to Scott Allen Miller (SAM) again this morning. Had Atty. General Tom O'Riley on espousing the virtues of in-state tuition for illegal aliens in Mass. Great topic. And, totally destroyed by the mechanics of the new format. First, O'Riley was on - then, when finished we had traffic, stop set, etc. No time for calls.

Then, after the Boston Herald "headline" segment, let's play O'Riley again. So, SAM did in its entirety (between 8-8:30). Then, pleading for callers and emails guess what: It's 8:21 time for traffic on the 1s. And weather, and more ads. Then time for one call and news.

Come on, hugely controversial comments on-air (live) by the Atty. General of the state (perhaps future governor)!! And, NO ONE COULD CALL IN TO COMMENT! At least not for over 30 minutes. In the morning, that might as well be 3 hours, thanks to commuting patterns.

Horrendous setup in which to try and manage a talk show. Absolutely idiotic! In the end, I popped in a CD. Can't listen any more.

Above review of Imus and Stern is right on the money too!

What saves Imus are his national guests and at times he is still fun to listen to. Could do without his hillbilly music however.
Sad that Scott Allen Miller is caught in this WRKO disaster. He will survive even if the format does not. He is a fast learner and the most talented host on WRKO. Hope the format improves but I think that is unlikely.

Scotto deserves the "most improved Boston radio personality award". He has really evolved since his start on RKO. Too bad he is now harnessed to this new format. It will be interesting to see if the ratings improve. RKO desperately needs a morning show that will move the needle.

New format just gets worse and worse, how sad that SAM has to beg for callers, how frustrating for him to be trapped in this ridiculous nitemare, he always sounds like he's speeding, ahem, maybe overdosing on caffeine, rush rush rush. This morning's show was especially ridiculous, the State's chief law officer on air encouraging other's to go along with this stupid in State tuition for ILLEGAL immigrants and none of us could call in to comment, believe me I tried to call, I was sooooo aggravated at that moron O'Reily, what a buffoon.

Correct on all counts! For the record, I really respect SAM's talent. I think he's a true professional and he was absolutely excellent when paired with Blute. But this format is awful! And, this morning, it was clear how much the host had to struggle with it.

For 20 something years my alarm clock has been set to WRKO..no more..can't
stand the new format.
