Aren't the Mays' a major stockholder in Radio One (as well as Blue Chip)? Almost 20% I think. Radio One is CC's minority partner along with Univision.

To address an above post suggesting CC would use it's might to crush a competitor, big or small? Answer is - YES. CC will use stations to flank their own and to be "spoilers" to others. Not to mention cluster selling and market share.

Take it from me, CC is getting out of oldies. WMJI and 3WS are only still around because they make big $$$. Once WMJI's AM anchor, John Lanigan retires, it's all over for WMJI. Same when Jim Merkel leaves 3WS. Could be sooner if the revenue drops off.

a footnote: WMJI hasn't been "good" since 2001 when former PD Denny Sanders was fired. The soul and passion for WMJI, Oldies and Cleveland, all went with him. WMJI survives now mostly due to Lanigan. <P ID="signature">______________

KLOU and KQQL are still also around as CC Oldies Stations and i Know KLOU has no Mainstay holding it on other than Being the Rams's Flagship Station

Hey, toungue in cheak, how about 24 7 whitenoise. I think after a while it will start to sound like everyone else or become another over the air Jukebox playing the same playlist of 150 songs it probably won't be noticed anyway!!!!>
