Let's Start Some Rumors . . .

Disclaimer: The author doesn't pretend to have any facts to back up the following statements.

Landecker: morning drive on 94.7
Winston:released from his contract at WJMK middays
Lujack/Edwards: Clear Channel contracts bought out by ABC for afternoon drive
Greg Brown: contract bought out for early evenings
Dick Biondi: contract torn up for late evenings.
Overnights: Take your pick

Any more rumors . . .

A dream lineup, but I'm betting ABC won't pony up the dough. Wouldn't be surprised to see Landecker and Biondi, though.

Pretty sure Lujack's contract is up - don't know about Edwards.

Don't start any rummers on Tommy Edwards & Larry Lujack,
from what I had read, they don't have any contracts because they're
owners of the radio station; just like Joe Gentile of WJJG AM-1530.
The only contract they have is, they made a deal with Clear Channel
for investment, just like Joe Gentile does by selling Chrysler Plymonth.
And besides the point, Mr. Edwards is the head landlord of WRLL AM-1690
and Larry Lujack is co-owner of the station.

I had also "heard" that Larry died years ago. Clear Channel would be surprised to learn that they don't own the station.

These are some of the funniest rumors I ever "heard"....

Can you just imagine what if both Tommy Edwards & Larry Lujack
trade places with Joe Gentile? For example:
Lujack & Edwards would be on WJJG AM-1530,
and Joe Gentile would be on Real Oldies WRLL AM-1690.
Just imagine that Joe Gentile is doing the Birthday calls
and singing that crazy birthday song, along with doing
"Address To The Nation"!
Larry Lujack would be a mead hard-butt to his callers of the
Joe Gentile Morning show and talking Itian talk over AM-1530.

Gosh, sorry for starting this rumor thread. However, did you hear about the time Lujack hypnotized the chicken:)?

I don't think so. There is plenty of CC stock to go into either's portfolio without having any part of the station go to them. That's not how CC operates and John Gehron would not have had that blessed by his regional VP, let alone higher up...or the lawyers. Lujack/Edwards may have an option to buy the station. But CC isn't selling.
