Well I think that the big Twister announcement will either involve a big contest, or some kind of send off concert for the end of the summer. That's probably why they're refering to it as the final blast. Any one agree?

Sounds right. Let's hope there's no major calamity involving a blast (natural or otherwise) that would cause them to have to pull it off the air.

Unfortunately I agree. There's a Gary Allan concert at the state fair 10/8 that nobody's announced yet (to my knowledge). It could be that.

Perhaps someone FINALLY realized that D/FW could use a spanish language or hip hip station. That's gotta be it... I can't believe someone hasn't tried either in this market yet. This is pure genius!

Anyone here heard of Monte Montgomery? He's a guitar player out of Austin and he sure ain't country. This concert date has been on his calender for quite some time now and I thought it was odd.

09/22
9:30p

Texas Twister Free Concert Series
Firewater Bar & Gill
Dallas, Texas

His music doesn't really fall into a category. Call him rock, blues, jazz at times and a dang fine picker but he doesn't fit the demo of The Twister.

Good guess Gordon. After all that buildup (and subsequent "please don't go" calls from their 10 listeners) they announced an end of summer concert Sept. 4th at J. Gilligans. I'll admit it generated some interest for them so kudos to programming for that much. To that end, though, they're still an underperofming small-market fish in a major market pond and a complete waste of a signal.

WHat a shocker sn't it.? So manysaid they wouldn't change. The calls were most likely sales people faking the calls to be banked. Radio is losing its creativity and imagination more and more. I can't wait to hear WBAP"s new talk host ..David.
