Let's take a small test

Must be a very frustrating hobby for you guy's. Golf may be a good alternative.

No, watching an industry that I admire slowly commit suicide is much more engaging.

Well maybe you should stop watching and start instituting some positive change for the industry. Are you capable?

If I was capable, I would. Believe me.

Well since you admit that you aren't capable, in the future I won't take your negative comments seriously! Thanks for clearing that up.

I thought The Clear Answer was gone. Did he change his name to Easy Money? If you don't remember, Clear was some guy who'd troll on the Houston board and snipe at people while defending Clear Channel incessantly, ending with The Clear Answer Has Spoken. What's next? Thus Sayeth Easy Money? And welcome back Fo-Fo. It's pretty tasteless of you to be knocking KACC so soon after Kathy's passing. So, now where's David Eduardo to really liven things up?

On topic: The Buzz is listenable for short periods of time, but I agree that the playlist is too predictable.

By the way, didn't Pat Fant put the Buzz on the air?

Just to keep things lively, Easy: Ratings don't make money. Sales execs make money, hopefully using ratings as a tool. I can name you Top-Ten Houston stations that couldn't sustain. That's why it was interesting to note David Gleason's point recently that the top-billing station in town doesn't belong to Clear Channel.

I didn't say a word about KACC. I believe Pat did put Buzz on the air like 10 years ago: your point?
You are dead wrong about CC not having the #1 biller, it does, and it's KODA, and that's a fact!
I don't know who The Clear Answer is but he sounds like the kinda guy I'd like to have a beer with.

Why so much CC hate Shallowman?

Easy Money

Say something positive about Clear Channel would you please? I would love to hear your thoughts what positive things Clear Channel has for radio and the music industry.

Michael, I said NOTHING about her. I simply posed a scenerio. SO if someone passes away, you can't ask a question about something they were associated with? I said the exact same thing when she was alive. The question had ZERO to do with her in any way shape or form. Re-read what I said. I couldn't care who's running, ran or will run KACC. It doesn't change the fact that they have nothing to lose going Active Rock. Yes, I did take a jab at their positioner as the "Gulf Coast Rocker" because they rock about as hard as Sunny... but that also has NOTHING to do with her.

No problem. Always glad to help special people like you.
Hey, PM me in a few months when you need a job.

How about this Fred the Head:

CC Houston pulls a 38% of the revenues out of the Houston market, it's closest competitor pulls 17% share.
All 5 of CC's Fm's are in the top 5 for A25-54
KTRH is the top rated AM station in Houston and KPRC ranks 3rd on the AM dial.
So the ratings are great and the revenues are second to done, shall I send you more ?? I'm happy to.

But I'm sure none of this is important to you, these are just trivial statistics.

Easy Money.... Ah,,, a name that we all envy. Sales a litle slow hugh Easy?

I have a homework assignment for you. I would like for you to call 10 clients of your station and ask them if they are getting the results they need by advertising on your station. No Agencies...just the local businesses that support our little Houston economy. That's all I ask of you. Not one or three but 10! Get back to us on the effectiveness of your station and then get back to me on how big your Easy Money paycheck is in three months with your fine attitude. I've been in the business too long to know....EASY come, EASY GO!

So Sayeth the Lounge.

Easy Money/Clear Answer: You call me Shallowboy? You hide behind a screen name but insult my name? How old are you?

To clarify: David Eduardo/Gleason was the one who pointed out that the number-one biller is not a Clear Channel station. I made the reference. Please do your best to calm down, old boy. Send me more "trival statistics" backed up by references, yeah. By the way, is this your first radio job, Easy Money? If it is, then that explains why you think this is Easy Money.

My "tasteless" remark was to Fo-Fo, and if you go back and read it you'll see what I was trying to say. Let the KACC thing rest, okay. I didn't know Ms. Forsyth that well, but it's her legacy and she was great!

The Pat Fant thing was just trivia. And it's ON TOPIC.

Having a beer with Clear Answer would be like having a beer alone, wouldn't it, Easy? This is a forum for talking about radio, not defending our employers to absurdity. Tell me I'm wrong.

Shiloh,
You just have to kind of chuckle don't you? I mean...really.... Easy Money just got in the business and attended his first Clear Channel University Training last week. That is where they train their people to debate in numbers, not results, not business. Then, he was sent out to shaddow another Accounting Major flunkie whose outfit may have just gotten her the job two weeks ago at some Hotel Bar stages to be a recruiting fair. Easy Money has no Broadcast experience, no experience in working for Family owned anything....he's a cubicle sitting/ beer slinging sales guy sitting at Woodrow's right now I am sure while the rest of us look at our W-2's and remember the real money. The money we earned.

I apologize for liking my job and not having a major axe to grind with CC. Regarding the 10 happy clients; does 120 million in revenues count? I'd assume we could find 10 happy clients out of the thousands that spend over 120 million w/ CC that are happy.

Why would they spend money w/ CC if they aren't happy? Could it be, they're getting incredible results?

So much CC hate! Don't hate us because just because we're pretty.

...wow. I've been in sales meetings like this. You start with a simple topic and it quickly turns into blah, blah, blah. Thanks, Easy.

Golf? Are you kidding me?
