Lets Talk About Q1043

Q1043 isn't mentioned that often. I guess that in a way is a good thing. Well, it is one of the best stations around. Probably, in my opinion, the best in New York City. All the jocks are great and the music is great. The playlist goes pretty deep. The jocks aren't boring. A few weeks ago, the anniversery of Jerry Garcia's death was spotlighted on Q. They played a ton of Grateful Dead. Hats off to Q1043 for being a great station!

I often hear people complain that Q has a narrow playlist, but I disagree. I hear jocks quite often introduce songs from the "back wall" of the library. The station does play deep cuts on "Two for Tuesdays," "Workforce Blocks" at noon and 3AM and specialty weekends. The Grateful Dead tribute on the tenth anniversary of Jerry Garcia's death is a perfect example of the station branching out for a special occasion.
