lets talk about something else

I would like to hear who any of you look up to. Whether it was someone who gave you break, learned from, etc.
I had a 3 decade career here in Vegas and am more focused on the important things for me like retirement, and where to spend the rest of my money.
I hate seeing anyone be attacked, especially some personal attacks on a person or their family. While I totally agree radio will never be like it was, either change it if you can or get out. I applaud those that can survive in the "less you know the farther you go" world of radio.
It is sad that there are much better people than myself not playing radio these days. Although I listen to Sirius more than radio for obvious reasons, I still have a soft spot heart for radio, and always will.
I thought Vegas radio was bad until I went to LA recently! My god! It's sad.
I gotta say if this guy market #257 with no signals is so good, lets see you take your millions and compete in this market with 35 signals. No wonder you had a 47.6 share. Can you say....Only game in town.
It's sad to see people attacked...especially when people who attack DONT know them. Stunt Runt is a wealth of radio knowledge. Jon David Wells...great guy...great co worker. As for Country Chuck, I never met him but have admired his work for years...maybe someday.
I wish all the best, and look forward to learning from people who post here and what they have to say.

Thanks Vegasradio....

I look up to Jan Jeffries, Robert John, Jay Stevens, Jerry Clifton, Dave Popovich, Brian White, Tony Bonicci, Mike Collelo, Alan Burns, Kevin McCarthy, Tom Chase (Both Times), Kim Kelly, Ron Chatman, Dirk Steele, Rick Walker, Jerry Heller, and Vikki Wood....

All of these people made it possible for me to move forward in a life of broadcasting. Either they taught me, supported me, slapped me around, made me work harder, pushed me, or stuck with me through thin and thick. I owe them more than I can ever repay....

They are Giants.

I never attached anyone personally, just what I heard on the radio. Certain people mentioned may be great guys, but I still maintain "it's what comes out of the speakers thats counts." Speaking of which, is that a guy or a girl doing PM drive on KWNR this week? I can't tell.

We had something like 20 signals and multiple country stations. I didn't have the advantage of being the only game in town, like KWNR.

JACK is like a breath of fresh air - this week. It won't last. Just as disco was not a cure-all in the mid-70s. The big winner? KSNE. The big loser? KSTJ (and perhaps KXPT and KQOL to lesser degrees).

Listening to JACK right now. Damn, how many car dealer spots can they play in one break?
