Letterman and Kimmel Reruns

With No Leno, I would think Late Show, Late Late Show and JKL would want to be new and fresh. This would be the best time to shine.
But I trust the Networks know what they are doing.
 
As NBC has Olympic coverage to 12 Midnight on most nights (tonight 8/8 being an exception), Letterman and Kimmel are following the same lead as most other shows and are in rerun mode during the Olympics.
 
If it means anything Conan had/has fresh episodes this week.

I don't know if Kimmel has much power at ABC, but I suspect Dave takes his vacations when he wants to, and CBS doesn't argue.
 
Dave has usually taken an August break.

Craig has taped a few shows ahead of time; there will be a mix of new and old for a few weeks while the new studio is readied.
