Letters from Ruth Lyons

My grand-uncle Lee was a close friend of Ruth Lyons. He was a florist in Fort Mitchell and often sent her flowers. They went to California together, along with movie star Tyrone Power, when Power first went to Hollywood. Attached are 3 letters from Ruth, the last written shortly after her daughter Candy died. Another one is from her husband Herman, written two months later, asking Lee to urge Ruth to return to the show. There is also a letter from Marian Spelman.

Lee's uncle (my great-grand-uncle) was L.B. Wilson, the founder of the original WCKY. I presume Lee met Ruth through L.B., who tried unsuccessfully for years to lure Ruth away from WLW.
