Many on this board have suggested many changes are needed at this station. Perhaps this is the beginning.

All WLEV needs to do to straighten their act up is make the playlist a bit more retro-focused, "a la" their sister station in Harrisburg, "Mix 106.7," which mainly focuses on 70s and 80s music. That station is holding its own and doing fine out that way, so why Citadel doesn't try the same thing in Allentown, I don't understand. People to this day still think of 100.7 as the "easy listening station WFMZ" but when they turn on 100.7, they're instead hearing a station trying to sound like B-104. Forget going after B-104 and do what Mix is doing out in Harrisburg. You'll see WLEV straighten out their ratings real quick if they do that. I guarantee it.
 
I'm not sure Mix 106.7 is the answer, with the Hawk in the market. You don't want to be as Classic based.

The answer lies to the east of the Lehigh Valley on 106.7 in NYC and to the south on 101.1.

Or possibly to the north in Wilkes Barre on 92.9.

Just a good solid mainstream A/C that plays lots of variety with SOME tempo. Just play the right songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s, & today.

I believe the station's problem has been trying to cover too many bases....ie Jet Airliner on one end and Hips Don't Lie on the other.

Work hard and market toward workplaces again.

And one answer for the morning show: Ken Matthews. It's a no brainer.

That's the LEV recipe for success.
 
Hey if they were going "retro" they could bring back Joe McClain or Gene Werley or Jeff Dean.
 
Or they could bring back Doug Weldon or Chris Bailey or Jim Lloyd or Jefferson.

Oh the jingles are awful, they are so sappy & s---k.
