There was good discussion of the VA Tech atrocity
last night on Steve Leveille (WBZ).
Steve said at one point, and he has said this before, that he considers himself a liberal. Actually he may be more of a moderate. (As for guns he's not in the ban-them-all or let-everyone-have them camps; it was "properly trained and licensed people, following rules" which he defined as gun control. Gun control meaning not a banning of all guns, but government regulations about them.)
One thing about Steve's show: sometimes he does politics, sometimes
more lightweight and fun matters (like when he has "audio clip
trivia" expert Mel Simons on). He lets callers make their point
without interruption and if the caller is interesting will keep
them on for quite a while and the only time he cuts people short
is when they fail to make a point ("I'm sorry, you're not making
a point here, I'll have to let you go"). Obviously that time of
night can allow for a more relaxed and laid back, less confrontational
style of talk radio...which is not boring!
