Lex & Terry Gone From KEGL

Exit Lex and Terry - Enter The Russ Martin Show!! Question is... do you put him on in mornings or play more music in the morning and give hime back 3 - 7 afternoons? ;D

I remember reading somewhere (here?) that Dunham and Miller we're the highest rated morning show in the market. (and not just Men, but P25-54)

At some point if you're talking and not making inroads against other "talkers", when do you change direction? (Answer-1/20/10)

And with the news that Clu-(m)-less is looking for a DJ for AM drive on i93 I wonder if they're doing better than expected against Kidd? And I wonder if more music mornings is the way to go against all these talk stations and all these music stations (Kiss, KEGL, KLUV, etc) that have morning crews of half a dozen people that just talk talk talk.

Not to mention (oh who are we kidding, this is probably the REAL reason they're doing it) that paying one Cindy Scull is cheaper than paying a Lex, a Terry,(or a Jody Dean, drop your least favorite morning talker here) a producer, a board op, a news guy, a traffic girl, etc.

J.D. is looking for a morning show that just focusing on playing more music and less talk, and Russ Martin, Dunham & Miller isn't it.

Reread my post.
The point I was trying to make is that D&M is #1 in AM drive and they're talk. Kidd is #2ish, talk. There's a LOT of talk in AM drive, if they (Lex and terry)are not cutting the mustard talking against other talk stations, when do you (JD Freeman) pull the trigger. (Obviously, today!)
 
So what will happen to their iheartradio station? Will that be removed?

CC/Dallas doesn't want talk...Their suits tell them that 30 second breaks are the way to go. ESPECIALLY with the L&T failure....

He will if he wants a pay check. No company now will pay him big money to do an afternoon show.
 
And where are you, Pete (Welpton- L & T Radio Network)?? I seem to remember back in October you "setting us and the record straight" when rumblings of this change were posted back then...
 
:D Im not peter........I said awhile back that when they lost most of their time to music and the 9am hour they're gonna lose the Dallas market...Peter came on and started babbling I was wrong....He was just trying to cover his ass..........

I actually turned the show off yesterday because I was sick of listening to Lex kiss Rahm Emanuals ass....Lex is clearly an idiot........The show has been going downhill for awhile...............

Now I will listen to 570 KLIF all day...Which I am happy with!! ;)
