Is anyone still listening? I decided to give them a chance this week and I have to say I find them very irritating. I have not chuckled even once. At least the Morning Edge started my day off with a few laughs. And no music at all REALLY sucks. The only person I know of that can pull that off is Russ Martin. I hope Jagger & Co. resurface in D/FW.

A woman called in this week and asked their opinion on how to get along with her teen age step-daughters and their advice was to pray for a head on collision and a visit from the police in the middle of the night. Crap like that is NOT funny.

Lex and Terry's arrival on KDGE cannot be a good thing.
Apparently, KDGE's strongest ratings were in its music and its dayparting, not in the previous Morning Edge. I didn't know Jagger and Co. were doing so poorly.
Having a morning show that plays a fair amount of music requires that the music be a successful contributor to the station. And you'd think "duh"--shouldn't it be that way for all MUSIC stations?
Take K Rock for example, a station that was only kept alive by Howard Stern's huge ratings. People don't care about alternative radio in NYC.
Here in Dallas, there is a sizeable segment of the listening population who like KDGE for its music. So why then did they throw on a syndicated no-music morning show??
Especially one that pretty much sucks. Logic?

KDGE's show ratings...
If I remember correctly, the Edge has it's highest ratings in a 24 hour period during the 12-1 "Flashback Cafe". That in itself should tell the PD how to start programming the station, but I'm a nobody who knows nuthin... so don't pay any attention to me...

They just plain stink, no way around it. I too gave it a week and found it to be almost as bad as DLR on Live.
