Lexie Kaye is out at the River

Heard from Chris Miller in an email that Lexie Kaye is out and the River is seeking a replacement. No word yet from Lexie. I think she was there for a couple of years.
 
The River's loss if you ask me. Lexie Kaye did a great job for a station with "mostly music" format! Best of luck to her, I have no doubt a station will snag her up! ATL will miss you!

My instict tells me this may be the reason why Lexi Kaye was let go. Chris Miller, the PD and afternoon host, did not comment. This is in contrast to the Steve and Vikki hiring, when B98.5 announced the new team without announcing the departure of Kelly and Alpha. (B98.5 management wanted to get up onto a rooftop and shout the Steve and Vikki hire as soon as possible). Since Kelly and Alpha are both still under contract with Cox, they could begin ASAP.

The River is currently the only FM music station that is all-music in AM drive. With how Cox is changing things in regards to morning shows, The River will have a traditional morning show (be it Kelly and Alpha or another duo).

Lexi's bio has already been pulled - so she is gone as of now. Kelly and Alpha's website indicate they are still looking, and that they are going to a morning show boot camp in Denver (where they worked at oldies KXKL). If a deal was cut in the past 24 hours, we may be hearing Kelly and Alpha as soon as Monday on the River (but it probably would be a few weeks).

Again...this is just speculation...Chris Miller cannot announce a new morning show until all of the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed.
