Leykis #1 25-54 Talk Show for January!!

Leykis is going over the numbers right now on the air and Leykis beat all talk shows in pm drive. This is only for January! He did mention KUPD, KESZ, KNIX, and KMLE are ahead of him for now. He also mentioned a little secret about "Crummey" Crummey does his show from studio city. I thought he moved to phoenix, anyone know for sure!! Was interesting to hear how KFYI ratings in pm drive have consistently gone down every trend since last May. I know there will be some to say yeah yeah so what but I have to say this is pretty impressive for just January 3-30th!

Crummey remains in L.A. One can pick up on nuances like supposing all of Glendale Avenue is in the City of Glendale or not pronouncing a common- knowledge legislator's name in the common way. Not a judgement--Just an indication he's an out-of-towner. Roberta Gale is in Tucson.
 
I enjoy Leykis, and congratulations to him, but this is no surprise. KFYI may skew younger than KTAR's 65+ demo, but still not too many 25 year olds listening, and not many women under 40. It's like Tom said when he was at 'RKO, "there are more people watching Wheel of Fortune than the MacNeil-Lehrer News Hour". Lowest common denominator wins.

Thing is, Crummey is the best local talent in Phoenix and has the history working with Leykis and at KABC. They've mentioned each other before and that they were friendly but now they're up against each other.

Where she'll remain as long as her husband Dave Van Der Slice has top-level Metro experience. Not that we're dying for more Roberta.

Again, maybe so, but how is that different from Sean Hannity or the like? I can tell you what Hannity will say on any subject without listening, and I don't even get to hear bumbling callers or "Laci Peterson style"

In an ipod/satradio/internet world, different talk formats will be able to coexist, not just the downward trending KFYI/KTAR style of talk (note how all top 4 political talkers dipped in both 12+ and 25-54 this trend).

Can you say you look at things with the glass half empty? I could say Crummeys EVILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL act gets old fast :) Why dosen't he open up his show and say Live from Studio City, California its JOeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Crummmeyyyyyyyyyyyyy Hmmmmmmm

Hey KJCB, it's me up here in Utah, hows that Leykis sounding down there on FM??? these people hate it!!! they absolutely can't stand that Tom Leykis is going to devastate the phoenix market, he's simply the most talented Talk Show Host their is, and im lovin watchin the ratings, he loses Seattle and picks up Phoenix, I bet he never would have dreamed this would be happening a year ago. Good to see you back... of course, Leykis was a terrible idea for Phoenix AND SLC. How's that "hot talk" doing on 97.5 KFMS? They're really digging at KNRS' heels now!
 
Leykis is a creep, and his show is just the same drivel for horny 16 year olds, and adults with arrested development.

He will bomb out here, like he did every time before.

As for crummey, hell, if you listen, you know he does the show from LA.

I got no probs with that, he does a good show.

Well if they would drop Americas Most Generic talk show host Jerry Doyle, I think they would really be on the right track, other then that, Mancow is really catching on here, In my opinion I wouldnt be suprised to see Bob and Toms ratings start to plunge into the gutter, other then that Radio From Hell ist the only comp the Cow has, (aside from Grant and Amanda)I'll be down in phoenix 6-1-06 i'll getta actually hear for myself how things are going, talk to ya later!!! <P ID="signature">______________
