It appears former Ch8/Fox Rochester reporter Lia Lando is returning to the Rochester television market to anchor WHEC’s 7 and 11pm broadcasts. Lando had been working at WIVB in Buffalo. Interesting, yet predictable move by the ratings challenged WHEC… Lando is not Anchor material.
 
Lando did a decent job on WIVB anchoring the 5:30 news segment. Maybe she's gained a little experience and maturity since her last Rochester stint.
 
Isn't Lando the former 'actress' who anchored the (so-called) news on WUHF and Channel 8?

If so then what creditability Channel 10 has just went down the toilet by hiring her to anchor the 7 & 11pm news.

There is certainly enough talented individuals already on Rochester television that 10 didn't need to bring back the "actress." ::)
 
Have you ever watched "Network"? And you're surprised that an actress would be hired as an anchor?

Actually I am surprised that Channel 10 has slipped so far during the past few years when it comes to the quality of their newscasts. Now this hire just makes me wonder when Channel 8 is going to over take 10 at 6 & 11pm.

The folks at Channel 13 have to very happy.
