LICENSE PLATES WITH A RADIO IDENTITY

Back in 1978 when we put WJMQ on the air in Norfolk, Mass, the owner, Jack Quinlan, a former state senator, got all the players license plates starting with WJMQ (his) and WJMQ 1, 2, 3, etc. for the rest of the staff. He was quite a promoter, and thought the cost of the vanity plates was cheap because he loved seeing the call letters all over town.

License plates are always fun. I had (CT) WCFS in college, (MA) FM 103 at WEEI/FM and (NH Antique) Oldies 99 when WNNH gave away a '63 Ford Fairlane 500. I once saw FUBAR.

Screw the VBF plates, I want to know that happened to the metallic olive green pinto. I didn't think they had them in that colour.
