Liddy and Hill AM Drive

Ok I was thinking, what IF KTAR decided to get Liddy and Hill for am drive. Who do you think would win between them and Jacobs? I highly doubt they would do it since they like to focus on news am drive and pm drive but I think it would make it quite interesting in the morning. I personally don't care for Liddy and Hill and can only take Jacobs in small doses (the FYI POD is wonderfull!) but would be interesting.

Liddy and Hill have a certain loser stench to them. 3 stations in 5 months? Only Chucky Goyette can beat that record.

Perhaps... Bonneville is married to the Newsradio image and will keep AMD/PMD newsblocks (please explain why they can't go 'til 7 on nights with no game?).

Maybe the braintrust on Central should look at the sister station they're trying to emulate and realize that said station beats Rush in midmornings because they're LOCAL. The only people who beat Rush are local to the market. Put L&H in midmornings; Tony Snow is weak... if you must be cheap, pull Glenn Beck over. At least his new TV show is on every day, and he's #3 nationally in a demo that hasn't even heard of KTAR.

Liddy and Hill... a novelty come and gone.

i don't think liddy & hill want to be together.

scott conner out. terry gilberg kfyi nights.

bruce kelly, ned foster & connie weber for ktar mornings.

charles goyette ktar mid-days.

ktar afternoon news anchored by tony femino with produced reports & commentary from ted s, heidi f, david l and others.

austin hill ktar nights.

Gilberg has the most grating voice on the radio, its an extended screech it makes her unlistenable (to me). Besides, all she talks about is immigration every show.

After Goyette trashed TAR every chance, would they let him back? Femino? Ultra lightweight international news (but at least its something), Glen Beck is pretty awful, but better than Mike Reagan or Mike Gallagher.

They need to bribe Strauss to get him back.

Scott Conner may not have the delivery or game down, but I do think he "gets it" to some degree and has more potential than Gilberg. There are plenty more talented people than her. Besides, if she gets a weekday gig on 550, I'll lose my bet for dinner at Compass.

Again, Beck has the numbers in a demo KTAR needs. They should be local, but if they're not going to be, Beck is a better option than Snow. As to Goyette, he's a talent but too much baggage. It's not an issue of ticking people off; the Nearly Famous One makes fun of everyone but they'd all take him if they could afford him.

I don't know who you are, L.C., but I have been browsing this board for awhile and just want to thank you for having apparently been a pretty solid listener to my show when it was on...........even on kxam. The only reason I'm just now getting around to it is that I just recently registered.

Hey Strauss, I was the guy in tempe, Neil that always won the trivia contests when you were on 1310, still got a pile of Sensi's, they have trodden all over the world...

And, I rarely, if ever agreed with you politically, but, you didn't berate, harass, or whine like many talk show hosts here do (left and right).

And, no Matt Gerson jokes for a while!

I am delighted to know who you are and yes, I do remember. You rather dominated my trivia competition for awhile there.

Yeah, I had a boring job, no boss and a phone. Funny, there are no jobs out there for people that know lots of useless facts.

Wish I had used those Michaels gift certificates, not sure what happened to them.

Bill, I was a regular listener on your show on KXAM. I looked forward to Tuesdays (or was it Wed?) when the two guys touring the country in their Honda would call in. Do you ever hear from either one of them? I went to see them when you had them on the air on 7th St at the Gazebo (?) They spent the night with my neice when they were in Orange County.

I miss the regular callers that local talk radio had: Gabe, and Bob from Peoria are the only ones I remember at the moment. That's what made talk radio great! Will we ever see those days again?

No, I never have heard from either of them since they toured the U.S. at the turn of the century. Now that you ask, I do wonder what became of them.
