Liddy and Hill: fun while it lasted

Apparently the dynamic duo have called it quits on their national show, syndicated by Jones/WYD. This comes surprisingly after KJLL/Tucson GM Jerry Misner was so thrilled to get the Phoenix-based show to attempt to compete with Savage's huge performance on rival KNST (whether it would have worked is up to you...). The show lasted all of a week in the Old Pueblo. And don't forget TD on WFIR/Roanoke.

Word is the show will remain on Jones sats through February. Nothing yet on whether KKNT is keeping the show, although one would think Salem isn't going to enter the business of actually spending money for local shows, whether they've dominated on the Big 55 or not. Well, there goes the first of my 2006 Phoenix Radio Deadpool predictions... although if another such prediction comes true, maybe the Chickboss will take them back for the 7-10pm show.

As an aside, at this point in her syndication rollout, fellow WYD talker Stephanie Miller had about the same number of affils, and her only competition at the time was AAR's Unfiltered.

Memo to the men in secret underwear...these guys will work a lot better than Heidi and Ted in PMD. What do you have to lose?

And maybe someone will convince Nurse Jeff and me that Phil Hendrie is funny! That Alaskan cruise was the last straw for C.B. Anyway Liddy can't chase amublances and keep those hours.

Then there's the whole issue of Scott Conner. What in the Wide, Wide World of Sports is a goin' on with the decision to hire him?

Call it the KSLization of KTAR. At least Emmis realized it's medium market flagship WIBC should stay in the medium market.

I kinda like Scott Connor's show, its pretty lightweight (OK, really lightweight), but is better than putting Roberta Gale, or Ken Moon in.

There really isn't any good stuff on the radio at that time of day. Wonder if KKNT is going to put Hugh Hewitt's show back all in one live block again, and relegate tweedledumb and tweedledumber (but with nice hair plugs) to a later shift, its not like they have to please all those stations any more.

Heidi and Ted...sigh, KTAR needs to do something.

Liddy and Hill were still on the radio? Wow! :)

What is "secret underwear"? I don't get it.

It all boils down to a certain poster's dogmatic attitude about a certain church of which Bonneville Broadcasting is a wholly owned subsidiary.

I like to joke around here...probably more than anyone. Is "secret underwear" really that funny anymore? That joke sailed into the sunset at least 9 months ago. Now, it's just annoying and disrepectful to an entire group of people.

Calling an individual out relating to this board or radio, in jest or in earnest, is fine; but an entire religion? Is that any more acceptable than a racial slur? Just curious.
