LIFE MEDIA Network International
Acquiring 9 New Radio Stations
LIFE MEDIA Network International has signed an agreement to acquire 9 new radio stations – 7 of which are in Texas, one in North Carolina and one in Georgia (call letters and markets, below).
“This is a step forward in the previously announced plans to acquire stations in the North Texas/DFW Market,” according to LIFE MEDIA Network International spokesman J. Clemens.
“These purchases are another step in addition to other broadcast property acquisitions presently being considered by LIFE MEDIA Network International”, Clemens said. Led by the recently announced agreement to purchase the Dallas-based USA Radio Network, LIFE MEDIA Network International has stated it plans to acquire major media assets in radio, television, the Internet, publishing, education and entertainment.
“The group of radio stations involved in this announcement are all brand new, to-be-built stations,” Clemens stated. “These stations will join other planned acquisitions which are expected extend the reach of USA Radio Network's two 24-hour satellite channels -- which feature a wide variety of programming,” Clemens continued, “including information, inspiration, news, sports and entertainment. One channel presents a full schedule of faith-based programming, while the line-up second channel serves the general, family-friendly market”.
Under the banner “Truth Based Media”, LIFE MEDIA Network International has a stated mission of providing “TRUTH to the NATION” via radio, television, entertainment, publishing, education and the Internet. This will be facilitated by acquisitions of a variety of media assets, such as the stations involved in this latest announcement, providing a solid foundation on which to build a major national media presence.
The radio stations involved in this announcement are KLOW-FM, 98.9 Reno/Paris, TX; KXXN-FM, 96.3, Iowa Park/Wichita Falls, TX; KTTY-FM, 105.1, New Boston/Texarkana, TX; KSAQ-FM, 102.3, Charlotte, TX (near San Antonio); KSAG-FM, 103.3, Pearsall, TX (SW San Antonio); KDRX-FM, 106.9, Rock Springs/Del Rio, TX; KHES-FM, 92.5, Rock Springs/Del Rio, TX; WBNK-FM, 92.7, Pine Knoll Shores/New Bern, NC; WLEL-FM, 94.3, Ellaville, GA (Americus, GA).

The network has over 1,000 affiliates and is also heard on two XM Satellite Radio channels, and worldwide via the U.S. American Forces Network, as well as via Internet streaming from http://usaradio.com/. USA Radio Network has been continuously delivering up-to-the-minute news, sports, business news and long-form talk shows since 1985 -- 24 hours a day via the latest technologies.
Marlin Maddoux was recently inducted into the NRB Hall of Fame in Orlando , Florida . Mr. Maddoux had hosted his own first-of-its kind local conservative/Christian news talk program, Point of View, in Dallas , Texas starting in 1972. Taking advantage of then-recent developments in satellite technologies, in 1982 the program began broadcasting nationwide on the Satellite Radio Network. Mr. Maddoux, who passed away in 2004, had identified the need for a national news service for radio stations not served by the existing major networks. The USA Radio Network went on the air with its first newscast via satellite on September 15, 1985. USA Radio Network has since expanded its programming and services to include a wide variety of content and has been recognized as an industry leader in national and international news reporting, winning multiple awards.
USA Radio Network News awards include the "Best Newscast" Katie award in four of the last five years. Other awards have come from the Associated Press and the Press Club of Dallas. Awards have included "Best Documentary", "Best Editorial or Commentary". One judge who is a member of the Radio and Television News Directors Association said of one of the network's award-winning newscasts, which aired some two months after 9/11/01: “It’s hard to imagine a newscast with more comprehensive information. They are to be commended for producing a phenomenal newscast!” USA Radio Network is also the recipient of the prestigious Associated Press “Mark Twain Award” for “Outstanding achievement in cooperative news coverage”, as well as the 2007 “Best News Format” award from the National Religious Broadcasters.
