Lifetime Sked Changes

I notice that Lifetime dropped Frasier in the AM, added Wife Swap and a psychic show. Also reduced Will & Grace. Do not like these changes. Give me quality sitcoms over reality anytime.

Now one can watch Wife Swap on Lifetime, then Trading Spouses on CMT right after. Terrific.

I was scrolling past CMT's listings the other day, and they are even running "Extreme Home Makeover". I thought that was something ABC's Family Channel runs?

CMT is going down hill now too. They were the one play the most music videos and country shows. They could at least keep the station country which they stand for. Home Makeover and Wife Swap isn't country tv.

As for another network in the Viacom family. Lastnight MTV was airing Fear Factor. I thought FX had the rights to that show. And as for MTV, Viacom could just rename the channel but keep the same logo just have the M stand for Movie instead of Music. And move some of those shows on MTV to The N as they are both kind of the same thing both for teens.

I will say one good thing about Viacom. Comdey Central is still the same sticking with comdey shows and movies.

The M in MTV might have stood for Moronic. That's why They ditched the Music for My Super Sweet 16 and other stupid shows.

They've also been playing the Lethal Weapon and Police Academy films. I...guess they can claim they're southern. Southern California, but really, it seems like they've given up the hardcore country audience most of the year to GAC.

That's pretty much because MTV Networks isn't running it day to day, it's still under a completely division of Viacom even after the break up of the Viacom/Time Warner Comedy Partners structure they used to be under. It's under the MTVN ownership, but it doesn't have the MTVN copyright for its original programming.

Lifetime is back to their regular schedule this morning. I wonder if last week was just a "special" week, or they are giving up on the changes after just a week.

Then watch GAC, Great American Country

I'll give MTV, VH1, TV Land, Nick, and Comedy Central credit for something else as well: NO overnight infomercials. ;D

I know back in their infancy, VH1 aired infos nightly starting at 3:30 AM. And Nick too, but only on early Monday mornings.
