Lifetime threatened with lawsuit

I can't afford cable. When is my My Network station going to start airing Lifetime movies again? I enjoy the old movies, but with all this repetition of newer films you'd think they'd have the Canadain Chick Flicks again. I enjoyed those.

I think Lifetime could use the story of the lawsuit against them being spun into an original Lifetime movie.

For years I've been expecting a defamation suit to be brought against
Lifetime by EVERY MALE EVER BORN OR LIVING!! ;)

Agreed. Wasn't it Saturday Night Live that introduced a parody with "You're watching Lifetime - Men are Bad?"

Lifetime: Homebase for the She-Woman Men Haters Club

Not always. I hardly ever tune in Lifetime, but last week I got hooked by their rerun of The Betty Broderick Story. It's the true story of a crazy San Diego socialite who murdered her husband and his second wife. In this case, the roles were definitely reversed - the woman (played by Meredith Baxter) had serious anger issues, and the husband was the good-guy. It happens...

If it wasn't Meredith Baxter, the role could've been played by Tracey Gold, Valerie Bertinelli, Nancy McKeon, Melissa Gilbert, etc... :D :D :D

Right. The Broderick story was filmed in the 90s, when Patty Duke was another one of Lifetime's troupe, but I guess Patty is too old now for those housewife or professional woman in peril roles.

I guess Gold, Bertinelli, etc. would be the second generation of Lifetime Players. ;D

I enjoy those Lifetime movies, and movies starring these actresses. And let's not forget Joanna Kerns and Lindsay Wagner.

I don't know why men hate these movies so much. As long as the women look good, I don't see the problem.

You're clearly more of a visual person than a thinker then.
Does it take you a long time to unwrap flashy paper wrapping while the rest of the family gets along with their day? ;D

I live alone. Other family members I might see once a month.
