The new Lightning ownership is in place and has made many changes. Hopefully, the broadcast teams will remain the same. Mishkin and Espo on the radio do a great job. Rick and the Chief on TV also are top notch.
If Mishkin stopped being too much of a homer to the point of sounding like Peter Brady, I wouldn't mind him staying. Otherwise, find someone else who won't sound as if he's George McFly scoring on prom night. As for Numa-Numa boy, uh, I mean, Jay Feaster...good riddance.
The overlap will only be significant during the NHL playoffs. I'd think that they'd bump the conflicts to 970 or 1250. Happens in a lot of markets.
You might even see the Lightning move to 970. For that matter, these owners are younger, they might want to go to FM. Maybe to Mix or even 98 Rock? The Pittsburgh Penguins games are on 105.9 the X, an Alternative rocker. Hockey draws the youngest demos of any major sport.
