Lightning Hit Video

Good Stuff! What surprises me is that anything was damaged inside the building. I've watched towers get hit countless times over the years with zero damage, including my own. One would hope the WSIX staff is finding out how the lightning got in & is in the process of putting up a stop sign on that entry ramp.

Here's an example of a good installation that still got taken down. A steel steel beam building. Everything's bonded with copper strap. Lightning hits the building but doesn't "get in". However, the Electro Magnetic Pulse induced in the steel frame does massive damage. One clue was all the CRT monitors were magnitized. As were the steel beams.

It would be interesting to find out if that lightning that hit WSIX was positive (instead of the meeker negative strikes).
