Like classic Country?

So now that they brought back the old format of KIIX what it was in the early 90's here is the scoop:

BIG COUNTRY 97.9's Scott James and Sadie Koehler announced this morning that KIIX AM 1410 (currently Adult Standards) will transition to BIG COUNTRY CLASSICS effective today at noon, playing a diverse blend of classic country music spanning the 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's. "Big Country Classics" on KIIX AM 1410 will offer Northern Colorado residents the best in classic country music, culture, and community both on-air and online. The station, which will be heard on-air at 1410 AM, online at www.KIIXAM1410.com and through the iHeartRadio app on mobile devices, will also be featured in high definition stereo on KXBG 97.9 HD2. It will feature classic country music from artists including: Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard & many more!

FM sister station BIG COUNTRY 97.9's morning show "Scott & Sadie" will also be heard weekday mornings from 6am-10am on KIIX AM 1410 as well. The station is to be an extension of the growing brand of Big Country 97.9, as Clear Channel of Northern Colorado will expand its country music portfolio to further reach a more mature demographic. The two radio stations will work in tandem supporting their local Northern Colorado communities and advertisers, plus will be involved in as many country lifestyle events and promotions as possible.

"It's an exciting day for us as we grow the brand of Big Country even further, now catering to country music fans age 12 to 112," said Chris Kelly, Operations Manager for Clear Channel of Northern Colorado's six radio stations. "We are thrilled to blow the dust off some great country music that hasn't been heard anywhere near this market for a long, long time."

So enjoy the classic country music again on KIIX. :)
