Like kicking a dog...

The firing of Pal Al was to me, like kicking your dog. He is one of the kindest men I know. You'd almost think it was done to save parking spaces or something stupid like that... But I know that if it were true, people wouldn't be able to sleep at night, right ??? A personnel request to Mike C. Take yourself out of the mix, sit back and put on these legends of New Orleans radio that have been pushed aside. Call it "Legends Ninty Four Three" and let the guys do radio the way they know it can be done. Anythings gotta be better than a 2 share. I truly hope the best for N.O. radio.

The best for NO Radio won't happen till EnterScum leaves town broke and in pieces. Their treatment of Pal Al immediately after the death of his dad tells the whole story of these cold-hearted pri*ks and this will never be forgotten. NEVER. This was the last straw, money problems or no money problems. They've done their last fu*k job to the radio professionals of this market. Pal and his circumstances was the worst timing they could have made and now the chickens are already roosting. The best thing they can do now is pull out ASAP. Or slither out later. But not much later. Real soon.

And what a coincidence ... there is some interesting mass media coverage of this corporate fu*k job coming soon that Al is not even aware of and it will not involve him, but EnterScum NO ain't gonna look very nice to the listeners or the advertisers. More to come.

Dude, your angry. Life is to short to be that mad. I do like the statement on roasted chicken though. I prefer mine with rosemary and garlic, yummmy!
We don't have Popeyes up here though... So, maybe you should go eat some of that roasted chicken you spoke of and calm down.
If not, you should go to Caps Po-boy and have a swimps sammich wit pleney a my-nazz onit, hawt. Layta fa ya!

Chickens ROOSTING, not ROASTING! :)

Sorry, I'm just upset with the way they treated Al. And what is Cap's poboy? Not familiar with that.

OK, I'm calm now. What's done is done.

I'm checking out of this board. Since I've never been on radio it's really none of my business. I have no place here or reason to add my $0.02.

I'm outta here and ain't coming back. Y'all slug it out, but Al, I'm really sorry you were treated like a dog.

Bye.
Beernuts

This is so funny.
Beernuts, do you even know Al????
I grew up in the 'hood next to him and have stayed in touch.
He's totally cool with moving on.
He saw it coming, has $$$$, and told my brother that he's been back in the "office" every day since he left to get his stuff and everyone at the stations has been cool.
sometimes, people we like get fired. and your "inside" knowledge of a "santa clause" and a "a hole" make it clear that you won't let the facts get in the way of your agenda.
You know too much, you have an agenda, and you hate the players.
Fine.
But fess up up or look the fraud.
I will now go wave whatever flag you suggested I should wave.
Beer,
You scare me.
You and you ilk make me understand that the world wide interweb is not a good thing.

I know Al, and I know he will be joining his friends---original New Orleans radio mainstays who proudly built the Crescent City heritage we WERE so proud of back in the mom-pop days---at Captain Humble's next Saturday. It is somewhat comical now to see---since we invite all N'Awlins radio vets---which of the folks KNOW they aren't invited or wouldn't have the balls to show up knowing we would throw them out in the parking lot face down 'cause they've destroyed all that we worked years to build with blood, sweat and tears...that what we used to be so proud of. And I don't hide behind an alias name. I busted my ass in New Orleans from 1977 thru 1995, and am damned hurt to see the current situation. I pray for mom and pop days again...maybe it's time for full-circle! Thank God I am having fun, working for a fabulous NON-WALL STREET company on the Coast that takes care of their people.

I saw Al yesterday at the memorial mass for his dad.

He will be there!

Know how you feel Wayne. Radio was awesome in those days. I've never had so much fun in my life. Remember Ken McIntee? (RIP) when I first started at NOE he would always say "Its better than having to work for a livin'" and he was so right. too bad I didn't take FULL advantage of my time at NOE instead being such a little bitch. I always wish for that majick TIme Machine to take us back with what we know now. Its so weird that alot of us knew each other for years before we worked in radio eh? Thats TRUE Nawlins radio if you ask me. Lets start a pirate station...(JUST KIDDING FCC)

Yes, Pal is! I saw him just recently at The Gretna Heritage Festival, welcoming the Blue Oyster Cult (I think it was) on stage. Didn't get the opportunity to talk to him, but I did want to give my condolences and wish him well.

Ya know, he being a great candidate for PD of Bayou 95.7 was mentioned on here and I thought that was a great idea. He knows his music! Wasn't he once PD of Rock 92.3?!

I hope he lands a job really soon! Good luck Pal, see ya Saturday!
