Li'l Tommy Edwards Makes a Comeback

According to the Robert Feder's Columm this morning,
It had said that Tommy Edwards, who signed off in August as morning personality, program director and operations manager at Clear Channel Radio's former "Real Oldies" WRLL-AM (1690), is ready to make a comeback.

The Chicago radio veteran is expected to join Bonneville International's rhythmic oldies WILV-FM (100.3) as afternoon personality. Look for a deal to be finalized this week.

At "Love FM," Edwards would succeed another veteran programmer, Chris Shebel, who's been filling in as afternoon host for several months. Shebel is leaving to become operations manager of Clear Channel Radio's cluster of stations in Raleigh, N.C.

My idea of this is to get rid of Scott McKay and put him on Love FM and put Tommy Edwards and Larry Lujack on in the mornings on True Oldies 94.7 by making that switch...

I'm with you gramps, and I listened to 100.3 Love, and well, you know I said I'd follow Tommy anywhere but this, this is just, well asking too much, I feel faint

Of course being on True Oldies 94.7 would put Lil Tommy & Uncle Lar back on WLS (okay FM but that's what it is)

Radio sure is a weird biz.

well now could we finally see the return of wls fm 94.7?

This proves that there is no god. If god existed, Mackay would be on The Love and Tommy and Larry would be on True Oldies and all would be right with the world.

Tommy Edwards on Radio Love, what a waste of time and talent, and what horrible music.

Yeah you made it alright. Right to the west coast.

You want so bad to be a part of this city and everything it has to offer. But you failed, you lost, you lose. The real winners are those who stay in the game and suceed. You, lost and left.

Bummer for you. Hope you do not have kids, that would be truly sad to let them see what a "winner" you really are.

How quaint. You blast people for not reading your prior posts, yet you didn't read mine. Obviously.

I made it. I sold it. I moved elsewhere, for the weather, and made it again.

I don't want to be part of that city at this point. Didn't say I did. As for the real winners being the ones who stay in the game and succeed...just in a different game, dear.

My kids are successful as well. They know why.

OK, you've heard all the clues--time to take off his mask. Have you folks at home figured out who WindyCityDeeJay is?

This all started when somebody noted that Tommy Edwards has a new job, it's hardly a comeback as Clear Channel pulled the plug on Real Oldies in mid-August. Anyway, from then it became a testosterone match between some legend-in-is-own-mind DJ and other people who he may or may not know, if he is in fact a DJ--but then it became a guessing game because apparently the DJ is so famous that we mere mortals would be shocked and awed that he came here to, well, act pretty much like a jerk. I hope this has helped.

and does this person also go by another name or two on these boards that were created in the last couple days?
