Limbaugh calls for domestic terrorism at Denver convention

If riots are to take place, it shouldn't because of radio talk show host, for that matter, because some sports team wins a championship.

The current gas and food prices along with the stock and housing markets sure makes me wanna riot. People are losing their jobs, houses and savings.

Aren't we in a couple of wars too?

It's called sarcasm. A noted piece of speak that can especially be seen in Eastern cities like New York and Philly (before they were how shall I say, less gritty), some on this board oughta give it a try!


Look I don't listen to El Rushbo Grande GOP Cheerleader myself, but last I heard he was a US citizen...or does it not matter to those on the left?
 
Does the level of sarcasm increase or decrease based on the level of Oxycontin in the bloodstream? :p

Some of us are sophisticated enough to understand that Rush apparently is endowed with gonads that are too large for his insulin supply so he gets a bit loose in his sarcasm.

Some of us are not sophisticated enough to distinguish between sarcasm and marching orders.

If I am sitting in a theatre and some fool yells fire, how do I determine if he is a drunk being sarcastic, or if it is time to run for my life?

Even as a kid I knew when Bob Hope and Bill Cosby were being funny. My B.S. detector is experienced and pretty well tuned. It's going to take you more than half a day to convince me the collective voice of Rush, Hannity, Boortz and others is just one big effort at humor and sarcasm.
 
I don't believe for a minute he was joking. Rush is an absolute "end justifies the means" thinker (not so different from the current VP). If there were riots in Denver and the Republicans ended up winning the election in part as a result, don't think for a minute he wouldn't claim responsibility (a journalist once told me that when bad things happen, you say "claim responsibility" rather than "take credit") for it.

Rush has an excuse for everything. So does his masters in the GOP. Unfortunately, people just aren't buying them any more. Right wing talk has been on the skids for several years now and Rush himself has less than half the audience he had at his peak. It was a fun ride, but people are getting tired of it. They want something new....
