No, Bruce Williams doesn't do the same kind of free-wheeling show you do, Ian. Neither does Clarke Howard nor Dave Ramsey.FTL_Ian said:Jimme said:Before Clark Howard, there was Bruce Williams, who seems to fallen off the map. As his competitor I can tell you he's still out there, being independently distributed by GAB (not sure to how many affiliates). Many of his longtime affiliates still have him on-air. I don't imagine you'll see too many new affiliates jumping onboard - PDs might wonder how much time (at age 77ish) he has left.

What about Dave Ramsey vs. Clark Howard? Clark has all the info (even if the presentation is a bit too laid back) with none of the preachiness. His star is rising because of the CNN Headline deal.

He's head and tails above you, as is Savage and a number of others.FTL_Ian said:Williams may not have the same kind of show, but he's still competition in that he is live in my daypart.
So you have to be worried about who else is on the radio while your little show is on?FTL_Ian said:Williams may not have the same kind of show, but he's still competition in that he is live in my daypart.

Are you that insecure?
Are you actively calling stations and campaigning them to take other hosts off the air for you small show?
True; we all have the same plumbing. You're not any more special than the others,
who have a lot more insight and years of experience that a young - i.e. less experienced - host like yourself doesn't have.
Hey, FTL, you put the great Bruce Williams down for his age.
There's room enough on the dial for many hosts.
