Limited coverage stations

Now that there has been a discussion about Indie and its impact, low ratings, etc, what are the comments concerning KDAY. This is also a low coverage station with similar ratings trying to pick up listeners from the big ones.

Same basic deal, different Class A Station. Why not review all of the KDAY Postings, by performing a Search, under the Navigation heading to the left.

KDAY is a better A than Indies combo is, and is somewhat nicely located for the south Central zone in LA, one of the 5 Arbitron divides the County into for proporitonality.

The best A is KSSE, followed by the KBUE/KBUA/KEBE combo, followed by KRCD/KRCV.

Now for one more. I've been out of town so I missed a number of postings.
How is Jill FM doing compared to thier previous format.

Limited Interest Stations

I too have wondered that, as I also am not located in Los Angeles at the present. You will notice however that Jill doesn't even warrant any interest or discussions. In fact you are the first to bring up this Question. There was talk on a Trademark infringement, with the new Jack, however even that talk was cancelled, due to lack of interest. You can try the Search feature here, but there wont be much. I just knew Jill as KNJO, Thousand Oaks, and almost went to work there in 82. 48 Hours a Week for $600 a Month, offered to me by the Late Great Monty Von, and Bob, the General Manager.

KLIT/Fountain Valley still doesn't show up in the L.A. ratings.

KELT/Adelanto is still in the bottom half in the Victor Valley ratings, with no change.

Ventura County ratings haven't been taken since the flip so we don't know how KMLT/Thousand Oaks is doing.

I still hear that Amaturo is looking for a buyer.

I've heard the amount they are asking for is about 2-3 times what they are worth. They simply don't have the signal coverage. At the end of the day, it's really equivalent to KWIZ-FM or KALI-FM at best. The other two signals have little or no coverage of the L.A. metro - so their value is minimal.

Now, IMHO there is value to that - as there are opportunities to carve out a nice niche in the O.C.
